Join me for a creative immersion where we step out of the ordinary and into the world of intuitive art-making. You’ll learn my personal mixed media process—layering acrylics, inks, watercolor pencils, and collage—to create vibrant, soulful works that are uniquely yours.

We’ll embrace mindfulness and intuitive seeing, skipping the need for sketching or rigid planning. Instead, we’ll tune into a different way of looking—finding faces within faces, worlds within worlds—using Pareidolia.
I will introduce you to Pareidolia—the art of seeing images hidden within shapes—and show you how to weave this way of seeing not only into your artwork, but also into the way you observe the world around you every day.

Creating in this way opens your subconscious, allowing imagery, emotions, and symbols to surface naturally. The goal is to create meaningful artwork that is deeply personal, cathartic, and healing—pieces that speak directly to you.

What You’ll Create & Learn:

• Intuitive painting—learning how to be mindful during the creative process. Building layers of texture, color, and depth with mixed media. Illustrating everything you see within your work—adding characters, details, and unexpected elements to bring your paintings to life.

I’ll share all my favorite tools, tips, and techniques so you can take this process home and make it your own.

You’ll leave with:

• Multiple works on paper and canvas pieces using many mixed media supplies then drawing everything you see in the paint. 
  
  

• A deeper connection to your creative voice

• A playful, mindful, healing approach to making art

• A new way of seeing

If this is your first class with me and would like the kit with most supplies below select the Class plus the Art Kit at checkout. You will be able to choose your 3 colors during class and they will come in squirt bottles ready to use. This will be a mini kit with enough to use for the classes. 
Kit price: $50

What's not included in the kit:
- 2: 16" x 20" canvases
- Brushes: 1 Medium, 1 fan brush any size, 1 mini size brush with short flat bristles- I can show you the mini brush in Class #1 as we won't need it until Class 2 and 3.
- Workable fixative
- If you'd like to varnish and wire your painting in Class 3 you will need varnish, varnish brush and wire. We can discuss this in class. 

Optional:
Any collage material you'd like to add into the painting.You may bring anything else you'd like.

If you've been to one of my workshops already you probably have most of what I've listed below. 

          Class 1:

• Canvas: at least 2- 16" x 20"canvases, you can bring more if you like in other sizes.
• Watercolor paper: any sizes you like but at least 9" x 12"
• Liquitex acrylic ink: (these come in droppers) select at least 3 colors. 
• Golden Fluid Acrylic: select at least 3 colors. 
  
• Liquitex Glazing medium
• Posca Pens: at least 1 black and 1 white in sizes 1m fine tip and 5m.
• Brushes: Medium and large size brushes (any brand you prefer). 
• Squirt bottles: any size but the 4oz are a great start. At least 3 but the more the better. 
• Cup for water
• Palette Paper or coated paper plates
  
• OPTIONAL: Golden acrylic flow release- if you bring this also bring a fan brush in any size.
  Textures for stamping. I will have some available as well.
  
  Class 2:
  
  
• Watercolor Pencils: Set of Faber Castell watercolor pencils in black
• Fine tip brush for shading. (I can show you these in the first class.)
• Modge Podge: matte
• Cheapy brush for using the glue.
• Collage papers: anything you'd like. Ideas- old letters, music sheet paper, colorful sheet paper,  I will have some to choose from as well. Gold leaf- if you get this also get the gold leaf adhesive.
  
  Class 3:
  We will discuss these supplies in Class 2.
• Workable Fixative
• Fine art varnish any brand in matte, satin or gloss. 
• Varnishing brush (these are wide flat brushes)
• OPTIONAL: If you'd like to wire your work-
  Hanging wire (If you have a staple gun bring it, I will have one on hand as well, eye hooks. Depending on your canvas size we will take different approach to the wiring process. We will discuss this prior to the last class.
