About the Artist Behind Sincerely Joy

Hi! I’m Cristine Joy Cambrea, the artist behind the Sincerely Joy brand. My artwork begins with vibrant layers of color, flowing shapes, and expressive abstract backgrounds. As the paint develops, I begin to see creatures, faces, and whimsical characters emerging from the shapes. This intuitive process is inspired by a fascinating phenomenon called pareidolia, which is the natural ability of the mind to recognize images and patterns within abstract forms.

What begins as free-flowing color slowly transforms as I discover the hidden personalities inside the painting. I then bring those creatures to life with details, expression, and movement. Because of this process, many viewers find that they notice new images or hidden details each time they look at the artwork.

Through my Sincerely Joy collection, these original paintings are transformed into colorful home décor and wearable art, including tapestries, blankets, journals, clothing, and accessories. My goal is to bring a sense of wonder, imagination, and positivity into everyday spaces.

I’ve been sharing my artwork with collectors and customers since 2004, and it brings me so much joy knowing that these playful characters find homes around the world. Each design is created from my original artwork and reflects my love for creativity, curiosity, and joyful self-expression.

"Over the past few years I have explored many mediums. I've always wanted to see my art on the things we use everyday. I had been licensing my art for awhile and took a year to learn and create my own line of home decor called BOSANC short for Bohemian Sanctuary. This limited edition high end collection is available here exclusively through my Sincerely Joy brand. Only a limited run of these pillows and blankets were made. Most of the BOSANC decor has shag on one side and art on the other, adorned with tassels, wood beads, and metal rings. You still have a chance to own a piece of C.Cambrea art history! After working on that project for over a year and learning the ins and outs of surface pattern design and manufacturing I found the most joy in the making of the art and creating the designs. So I partnered with a manufacturer to create home decor products that are made as they're ordered and then drop shipped to my customers. This has enabled me the time to make more art and create many different products. The old model of warehousing inventory, shipping, and the rest of the issues mass producing present are no longer necessary. The time I've saved is now spent in my studio making new art and designs. All of it is now designed, printed, cut, and sewn in the USA just for you!

As well as working on the art, designing the patterns, and creating the SJ brand to house it all, I have also been illustrating a children's book called "Strawberry Beach" written by Ken Block from the band Sister Hazel.
