Pareidolia (pair-eye-DOH-lee-uh): the tendency to see faces, figures, or meaning in random shapes — the same reason we see faces in clouds.
I've experienced this since childhood. It shapes how I paint. I don't sketch or plan — I layer acrylics, watercolors, inks, collage, and pencil first, guided purely by intuition, and then I look. Faces, creatures, and quiet stories start emerging from the paint itself, and I pull them out with detail work until they're fully seen. What looks abstract from across the room becomes a living landscape up close.
Every piece is an invitation to slow down and look closer. The more you look, the more you'll find.

Over the many years of painting, certain symbols kept recurring — not planned, just noticed. Their meanings revealed themselves over time. As I grow as a person and an artist, new ones will emerge. Here's the key so far — look for these in any of my work:
Spirit Guide / Angel / Higher Power
Options / Opportunities
Where the Answer Lives
Multi-Dimensional World / What We Can't See
Dreams
Energy
Growth
Puzzles
Counting Days
Patches / Healing
Celestial Orbs
New symbols emerge as the work does — this page will grow with them.
